What Animal Is It? Virtual Wildlife Tracking Tour through the Winter Woods

March 11, 2021 @ 1:00 pm

Free
Join Vermont Land Trust’s lead forester Pieter van Loon and Chris Bernier of the Vermont Department of Fish and Wildlife for a virtual wildlife tracking tour through Vermont’s woods. We will learn how knowing animal behaviors, identifying habitat, and recognizing the type of gait can help identify tracks in the snow. Learn how gathering clues about the surrounding habitat and how the animal moved thorough it can help you discover who is out in the woods with you when you are hiking, skiing, or snowshoeing. For beginners and experienced trackers.

The program is free, but registration is required here.
