The Pull Room Printmaking Studio
Open House: Saturday, June 2nd
4pm – 8pm
In collaboration with Montpelier Alive Art Walk
The Center for Arts and Learning is pleased to be opening a community printmaking studio that offers studio time, classes, and community support for members. Membership includes studio use with reserved time on the presses, along with an assigned space for personal supplies. The Center for Arts and Learning is currently making finishing touches to The Pull Room Printmaking Studio and finalizing schedules. They aim to provide 24 hour access to the studio in their building at 46 Barre St. starting in late May and the studio will be open to any interested member of the community ages 16 and up.
On Friday June 2nd, The Pull Room Printmaking Studio is welcoming visitors to meet and greet, tour the space, and make appointments to get oriented on press equipment at a free Open House Event during Montpelier’s Alive Art Walk between 4pm and 8pm.
The studio has two table top presses (a mini mobile press – 10” x 16” and a Richeson Baby Press – 11” x 19”) , one floor standing press (Whalen Press), member storage, drying rack, water trays, palette knives, brayers, plates and cleaning materials. Ink and paper may be provided during select classes. Membership: $50/month or $600/year. More information can be viewed at: The Pull Room: CAL’s community printmaking studio – Center for Arts and Learning (cal-vt.org)
The Pull Room is offering fun and exciting printmaking classes that can be viewed at The Center for Arts and Learning website – cal-vt.org and on Eventbrite at Center for Arts and Learning Events | Eventbrite. Phillip Robertson will be leading two Monotype Basics classes in July. This class is for all levels and is not to be missed! Monotype is so fun and easy and Phillip Robertson is an enthusiastic and generous teacher. The Pull Room Printmaking Studio will be adding more classes as they get confirmed. Please follow The Center For Arts and Learning on Eventbrite to get notifications.
Experienced teachers should contact Kate Ruddle, The Pull Room’s Staff Coordinator to offer classes. The Studio is looking for any type of printmaking that can be worked with their etching presses. Gelli printing, cyanotype and other non-press methods are also welcome.
