Reflections on Vermont’s Legislative Redistricting Process

Part of the League of Women Voters Election Issues & Democracy Speaker Series, Tom Little, Chair of the Vermont Legislative Apportionment Board from 2021-2022, will speak about redistricting in Vermont. The presentation will cover Vermont’s state constitution and statutory structure and process for periodic legislative district reapportionment and the roles of the Apportionment Board and the General Assembly. Tom will focus on where and how the process generated controversy over the last two cycles. This is a free, in-person program at the Kellogg-Hubbard Library.
