March 25: Paths to the People – How Public Trails Create Community
Public pathways and trails are community treasurers that offer unique benefits for the people who live in and visit the area. The Mad River Path’s executive director will present the work of the organization–a 30-year-old non-profit that builds, maintains, and protects 11 miles (and growing) of paths and trails open for public use across the Mad River Valley. Ross will describe how these trails have come to be, what work is yet to come, and how these pathways support a thriving community while connecting four towns.
