Ned Richardson: untitled [recent work]

January 24, 2021 @ 11:00 am - 2:00 pm

Ned Richardson's untitled [glass micro june_0291_netG_170]
The Front gallery in Montpelier presents Ned Richardson’s untitled [recent work].  Richardson, a member of the cooperative gallery since 2018, explores the connections between the digital and natural worlds through a variety of methods and media.  Richardson collaborates with deep learning systems called GANs (Generative Adversarial Networks) to develop images, which he layers with traditional media such as egg tempera, glass beads, and cold wax. The resulting pieces are complex, reflecting accumulations of meaning and stories quietly collecting in digital drifts all around us, like fallen leaves.

untitled [recent work] is open to the public on Saturdays and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and by appointment between January 9 and 31 with an opening reception on January 8 from 4 to 7 p.m.
