The Vermont Holocaust Memorial, Beth Jacob Synagogue of Montpelier, Jewish Community of Greater Stowe, and Beth El Synagogue of St. Johnsbury invite you to commemorate International Holocaust Remembrance Day with a free, live, virtual talk by Jack Fairweather, Vermont author of “The Volunteer: The True Story of the Resistance Hero who Infiltrated Auschwitz” on Sunday, January 24 at 5:30 p.m.
Jack Fairweather is a Sunday Times bestselling author and winner of the British Press Award. “The Volunteer,” winner of the 2019 Costa Book Award, follows Polish resistance fighter Witold Pilecki, an underground army, and the secret mission to destroy Auschwitz.
