Food Waste Prevention 101

April 4 @ 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm

Free
Food waste is inevitable—or is it? In this free workshop at the Aldrich Library, learn how to rethink what “food scraps” are and how to make the most of food before it goes bad. For a deeper dive, sign up for the Department of Environmental Conservation’s self-guided Scrap Food Waste Challenge. Starting April 3, participants will receive three emails per week and can join weekly virtual discussions on topics like meal planning, food storage, and use-it-up recipes. Small changes can add up to make big impacts; wasting less food saves money and is a climate solution. Pre-registration is not required for the workshop, and participation in the challenge is optional. To sign up for the challenge or learn more, email Alyssa Eiklor (alyssa.eiklor@vermont.gov) https://scrapfoodwaste.org/scrapfoodwastechallenge.
