Food Movies to Savor with Rick Winston

March is National Meals on Wheels Awareness Month and to raise awareness and funds for the City of Montpelier’s essential FEAST Senior Meals Program, which operates Meals on Wheels and Curbside Meals for Seniors, the Montpelier Senior Activity Center (MSAC) has cooked up an enticing menu of ten diverse, affordable, and pandemic-safe offerings – 9 online, 1 curbside – to be enjoyed from the comforts of your own home.

Rick Winston, co-founder of Savoy Theater and longtime instructor of film appreciation at MSAC, will present a program featuring twelve film clips that feature magnificent meals and the people who prepare them. The films will highlight the cuisines of France (“Babette’s Feast”), Italy (“Big Night”), China (“Eat Drink Man Woman”), and Mexico (“Like Water for Chocolate”), for starters.
