Montpelier’s annual “Ice on Fire” event happened at the city’s newly acquired Country Club road property on Feb. 5., and featured dance, theater, music, storytelling, and poetry performed by local artists and community members, winter games, kids activities and hot food and drink . Organizers All Together Now estimated that about 1,000 people attended, which made this year’s event — held for the first time since 2020 — among the largest in the past decade.
